Right off the East River, Dock 72 and its New Food Hall is About to Get Wavy!
In what is about to become Brooklyn Navy Yard‘s first ground-up development in ten years, a fabulous new food hall will be a premier feature, announced the Yard on Monday.
Dock 72, is the name of this brand-new commercial development. And Rudin Development and Boston Properties and are behind it.
This week, the developers named FLIK Hospitality Group as the manager of the building’s 13,000-square-foot food hall concepts, which includes a dining area with local specialty food vendors, bar, coffee bar and juice bar.
“Our customized approach to hospitality services at Dock 72 brings the latest industry innovations, exclusive partnerships with likeminded culinary leaders like USHG, and fresh ideas that we know the Navy Yard community will love,” said Scott Davis, CEO of FLIK Hospitality Group.
“We are so excited to provide great food and great service to the entire team at Dock 72 and to be a part of this groundbreaking facility.”
Dock 72’s food hall is part of the building’s 35,000 square feet of diverse amenities, which also include a state-of-the-art health and wellness center, an open lawn and basketball court, a rooftop conference center and an on-site bike valet, among others.
Dock 72 also boasts numerous multimodal transit options, including a new NYC Ferry stop that opened this summer on the ferry system’s Astoria Line and provides 10 minute ferry service to Wall Street and 34th Street, a shuttle bus operated by the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation that runs every 10 minutes and connects to 13 subway lines and the LIRR; CitiBike; NYC Transit’s B67 bus.
Dock 72 alongside anchor tenant WeWork and is expected to open this fall. Dock 72’s food hall is expected to open before the end of 2019.
