FLIK in the Community: Supporting City Harvest in New York City

Neighbors Helping Neighbors

One FLIK team based in lower Manhattan, has worked to donate over 2,400 lbs of food to City Harvest, one of New York City’s largest food rescue organizations, between April-August.

The COVID-19 pandemic has left more than 1 in 5 New Yorkers unemployed, increasing those in need for nutritious food by 38%, according to Feeding America. As their regular operations shuttered, our team worked with our clients to determine a way to support those in need in the community.

City Harvest helps feed more than 1.5 million New Yorkers, providing access to nutritious food to food-insecure New Yorkers, through their network of food pantries, soup kitchens, and other community partners throughout the five boroughs.
