Cocoa Banana Overnight Oats

A bit of unsweetened cocoa powder goes a long way in this easy recipe for Cocoa Banana Overnight Oats. We love their dark color and deep flavor. And the banana adds plenty of sweetness.


Ingredients

3 cups skim milk
5 3/4 cups old fashioned oats
2 cups (about 6 medium) mashed banana
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
8 teaspoons shaved dark chocolate, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine oats and milk, cover and refrigerate. Allow oats to soak overnight, not more than 15 hours.
  2. When oats are ready, mix in cocoa powder and mashed banana.
  3. In a small bowl or glass jar (at least 12 fluid ounces) layer the following: 1¼ cup overnight oat mixture, 1 teaspoon shaved chocolate.
