Cocoa Banana Overnight Oats
A bit of unsweetened cocoa powder goes a long way in this easy recipe for Cocoa Banana Overnight Oats. We love their dark color and deep flavor. And the banana adds plenty of sweetness.
Ingredients
3 cups skim milk |
5 3/4 cups old fashioned oats |
2 cups (about 6 medium) mashed banana |
2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder |
8 teaspoons shaved dark chocolate, for garnish |
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine oats and milk, cover and refrigerate. Allow oats to soak overnight, not more than 15 hours.
- When oats are ready, mix in cocoa powder and mashed banana.
- In a small bowl or glass jar (at least 12 fluid ounces) layer the following: 1¼ cup overnight oat mixture, 1 teaspoon shaved chocolate.
